bout Jennie Taylor
Jennie Taylor is a remarkable woman with a truly inspiring story. Jennie is the Gold Star Widow of Major Brent Taylor who was killed in action in Afghanistan in November of 2018 while on a leave of absence from his civilian job as mayor of North Ogden, Utah. Together Jennie and Brent were raising seven children, who now range in age from six to eighteen years old. Jennie holds a bachelor’s degree from BYU and a Master’s in Education from Utah State. She is a passionate PTA volunteer and currently serves as Utah’s Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army. Jennie is also a highly sought-after motivational speaker, who has delivered her message of hope and resilience in many states, including Washington, D.C. She has been interviewed by major news outlets such as Time Magazine, Fox News, CNN, NBC’s Today Show, and more. Jennie is a firm believer in the human ability to rise above challenges and learn to live happily EVEN after it seems everything has gone wrong.
