Middle Canyon Campground

Location: 1-mile southeast of Tooele City.

Season: Mid-May to October 31. The canyon is closed during winter.

 

Facilities: There are 42 developed and undeveloped campsites alongside the canyon road and one group campsite (100-person capacity). Improvements include fire pits, picnic tables, and vault toilets. No water. No disposal available; must pack out all trash.

 

Reservations: First come, first serve basis for campsites. Reservations are required for group campsites.

 

Availability: Check in anytime. Maximum stay seven days.

 

Fee: $10 per campsite per day. Group campsite $125 per day for residents with a $100 refundable cleaning deposit; $150 per day for nonresidents with a $100 refundable cleaning deposit.

 

Restrictions: Fires in rings only and bring your own firewood.

 

How to get there: From Tooele City Hall, proceed south on Main Street (SR-36) for one-half block to the stoplight. Turn left onto Vine Street and continue east for two miles to the canyon’s mouth. Continue up the canyon. Campsites are found on either side of the road.
